Over the past four years, my partner and I have been responsible for designing The Ritz-Carlton's mooncake boxes, which mostly adhered to traditional Mid-Autumn story themes. Our challenge each year was to create a fresh visual take on the story while maintaining its core elements.
2023 Mooncake Box Concept
This concept combines a Chinese idiom with the traditional mid-autumn festivity of guessing lantern riddles. The result is a vibrant and playful mooncake box that not only serves as a unique gift box but also provides a memorable activity for friends and family to gather around. Can you piece together the celebratory idiom that the Ritz-Carlton is wishing upon you this mid-autumn festival?
